Alex Stokle
Illustrator / Cartoonist / Air Brush Artist (Manly, NSW)
Alex Stokle was born in the UK, and at a
young age moved to Bahrain in the Middle East with his family. Growing
up surrounded by such diverse cultural influences is a source of inspiration
for Alex, and is reflected in his many humorous cartoons and illustrations.
Like most illustrators, Alex started
out doodling in textbooks and before long went on to doing many
private commissions. Several
of
these
commissions
included
illustrations for a children’s coloring
book, and full custom airbrush paint jobs including a 19ft speedboat.
Alex works with many mediums including
graphic pens, pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, airbrush, spray guns
and paint pens. He has illustrated a number
of
cartoons for the Gulf Weekly Regional Magazine and has exhibited his work
in Bahrain.
