About The Artist : Angela van Boxtel

Angela is a Digital Media Designer & Producer of Power Box Productions. Her vision is to beautify our world with positive images. Imagery that speaks directly to the heart and uplifts our mood, strenghtens our inner selves & creates a feeling of general wellbeing and health. She believes in the strength of colors and symbols as healing powers, and as such often integrates them into her art.

In regards to the Lucid Launch Inner Beauty Portraits :

Van Boxtel takes a digital photo of a person and transforms it into a colorful vibrating design, representing the inner beauty of the person.

'A photo technically is a bunch of pixels. If I regroup the pixels in a different way, it's still the same photo but transformed by my interpretation of the pixels or dots. In the way Aboriginals paintings use dots, I paint with digital dots and dream up and capture the beauty of each person. The idea is to make people aware that in the end what we will take to the next dimension is not our outer body but something else.'

Van Boxtel is also Founder & Creative Director of Art IM, Artists in Motion (www.artim.com.au), a network of Artists who run workshops & projects for children with lifelimiting ilnesses at Manly's Bear Cottage.
