About The Artist : Jess Porter

I am a 20 year old artist based in Frenchs Forest. I want to use my art to voice what I have learnt about life and myself. I try to let concepts emerge through experiment; rarely will I have a preconceived idea of what I am going to draw.

I don't believe in one perspective or meaning, I think truth is within the understanding of every individual. I try to express this view throughout my artwork by allowing the viewer to see whatever they want within my drawings. For example, within this drawing I see the interdependence between happiness and sadness, while others have seen a strange hairstyle or an octopus with fish in its snare.
