Shaw
Digital Artist
/
Collage / Multimedia (Melbourne, VIC)
Before moving to Melbourne 4 years ago,
Bonnie ran a very successful jewellery label in Brisbane called bon_zai.
She has taken part in collaborative exhibitions, published work nationally
and won several awards for her jewellery design.
Bonnie relocated from Brisbane to Melbourne
4 years ago to complete a Masters degree and is now working as a Landscape
Architect and Urban
Designer. Her creative interests in collage, digital art and photography;
jewellery, wearable art and sculpture translate into her current
involvement in broadscale urban arts schemes and pattern making processes
that
correlate with landscape architecture and design.
As a result her most recent work reflects the natural and urban landscapes.
Using photographs from a recent trips to the USA and Europe, she manipulates
and transforms photographs to create digitized and abstracted images.
Her background in jewellery and sculpture lend a physical
dimension to her collage and paintings, infusing a textured uniqueness
into the
final creation. Prints from this series of work have been exhibited
in group exhibition Living Room as part of the Manly Arts Festival
2004.
