Casey
Herman
Digital Artist
(Melbourne,
VIC)
Casey's
first forays into the realm of digital art began some 27 years ago when
photographing his experiences as a pilot in the Outback and Papua New
Guinea.
With
the release of Photoshop 4, he discovered a medium for the non-destructive
manipulation of his prints. He is self-taught, having only moved to
digital imagery several years ago. Other software used includes Illustrator,
Deep Paint, ZBrush and Painter Classic and he combines these to achieve
unusual results. His works range from posters for a medical clinic to
bios and posters for a band, as well as business card design and logo
design.
Future
developments include changing totally to digital photography, to make
better use of his film camera lenses. He is currently completing the
building of a new home, which includes a dedicated studio, office and
workshop, after which he will devote himself to not only digital imagery
but sculpture incorporating wood, metal, rock and glass, as well as
creative writing.
Casey's
web site 'Twisted Irony' features examples of his "digital image
abuse" (ie: digital art) and "metal torture" (ie: sculpture)
under the trademarks "Bizarrte" and "Twisted Irony",
and showcases artwork and sculpture available for sale.
