Meredith Peach

Meredith (Meri) is an artist who specialises in nature and biological subjects. Trading as SharkChic, she also creates unique baskets from garden waste and environmental weeds. She has a B.A. (Visual Arts) from the City Art Institute (now the College of Fine Arts, University of NSW), and a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in marine biology (University of Sydney). In addition to her creative work, Meri also freelances as a biological consultant, writer and educator.

Now based in Sydney, Meri works in a variety of media including pencil, pen and ink, watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oils, textiles and digital media. Her commercial work has included magazine and book illustrations, promotional posters and flyers, web and logo design, and commissioned portraits and caricatures.
