Shannon Melville 
Illustrator & Graphic Designer (Perth WA)


Shannon is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Perth. She loves bringing a picture to life through her vibrant colours and exuberant style. Shannon has completed an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, specialising in Illustration.


She has also completed a Visual art degree and had a lot of fun creating experimental art in the printmaking and painting studios. This has enabled her to keep her ideas unique and fresh and it has been beneficial in her illustration work.


Shannon enjoys working in a range of mediums by hand, particularly clay, inks, coloured pencils, acrylics and pastel, bascially whatever can communicate her idea in the best way. She also uses digital illustration techniques to enhance aspects of her drawings or to create vector art.


Shannon illustrated 'My Arms Your Legs' written by Kim Rackham, published by Blake Education in 2010.
Shannon has worked for a variety of clients throughout the country including the Australian Reptile Park in NSW. She has had experience illustrating for the children's market including book illustrations, editorial illustrations, illustrated logos, posters and signs. She also creates design work such as banners, signs, flyers, advertisements, invitations etc.
Shannon is available to create illustration, Graphic Design or Fine Art work.

Exhibition History 
2010 Cow Parade, Margaret River. Collaborated with 7 other illustrators from SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) in painting a children's books inspired cow 'Books Moove Me'. Now on display in State Library of Western Australia
