Jewellery Designer (Fairlight,

Jane
is a jewellery, bag & object designer with interests in writing
poetry & song lyrics, travel, design, dance and music. She attended
Robert Gordons University-Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland
for four years, studying art & design for one year followed by three
years studying 3 Dimentional design, art history and entrepreneurship.
She graduated with a BA honours degree in Design and Craft in 2000.
Her degree show featured fused glass sculpture and fractured glass lighting.
Following some time travelling in North and South America,
Jane returned to Scotland inspired to start her own business. For two
and a half years she operated her own jewellery, accessory and object
design business exhibiting in numerous galleries across Scotland and
working on private commissions. During this time she also continued
to write poetry and has since had three poems published under United
Press, London.
In April of 2004 Jane followed her instinct to come to
Australia and commenced a dress making course to manifest her fashion
design ideas as well as continuing to sell her work at numerous markets
and festivals including the infamous Paddington Markets in Sydney. Travel,
nature and life continue to inspire her each day as with each new experience
comes endless new ideas.
Jane's jewellery pieces have most recently featured in
the 'Matrix 35mm of Fame 2005 Calender for L'Oreal International shot
in Sydney, Australia. Her work has been on display in numerous galleries
throughtout Scotland and continues to exhibit in permanent collections.
Permanent collections can be found at 'Larks Gallery' in Ballater, Aberdeenshire,
Scotland which includes jewellery, glass & mirror designs and hangings;
'Carbyart Gallery', Aberdeen, Scotland and 'The Milton of Crathes Gallery'
in Banchory, Scotland. She also has work on sale at 'Anthropologie'
in Howard Avenue, Dee Why, Australia.
