Jewellery & Object Designer
(Tallebudgera, QLD)
Lorraine is a skilled jewellery and object designer who
studied under tutors such as Ernst Pfenninger, Robin Blau and Merilyn
Bailey among others. She obtained a Diploma of Jewellery & Object
Design from the Design Centre, Sydney Institute, and for the past 27

"Some call me a consumate artist. Never fixed I'm
constantly exploring new ways to manipulate metals to express movement,
to manipulating techno icons into jewellery such as I've done in my
'laptop' ring, or wandering through a garden at a construction site
and feeling compelled to create a bracelet that reflected that opposed
environment."
"Freeform has particular appeal to me. Like a paintbrush,
a charcoal, a crayon, a pen, I use line only to keep the eye moving
around my work, no beginning, no end, a journey, a poem, sometimes dramatic,
often humorous each piece tells a story - about me, about you."
Lorraine is interested in connecting with metalsmiths,
contemporary jewellery designers and object makers.
