Cheshire Kat is an original accoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter playing a blend of folk rock and soul. She performs with heart and warmth and a love of the music. Living and working at Manly beach you can find her performing in some of the local cafes with larger venues forthcoming. She has begun to collaborate with other musicians to expand her sound and the dream, to play music for all people.

With the earthy sound of accoustic steel string and voice, she is mixes didgeridoo, percussion drumming, slide guitar, violin, keyboards and even flute to make a unique experience. The music is essentially simple and organic. The aim is to make you feel as you listen, to make you feel good. She is an environmentalist and believes in spirit and nature. She sings about love, peace, equality, wind and rain, sunshine and waves. She is a proud Australian.

Cheshire Kat has been playing guitar for about 8 years and is mostly self taught. She has performed at the String Art Festival in Darwin and around the camp fire at the Forest Festival. Many of her songs come from poetry, though often the words and music come spontaniously. She loves music and has always been a listener and supporter, especially of the Australian music industry. Her influences are Tracy Chapman, Ben Harper, Nick Cave, The Cure, Pearl Jam, Bjork, Counting Crows, Crowded House, Janes Addiction, The Cruel Sea, and all reggae music. Though she believes in original music she occassionally plays covers, her favourite is Bob Marley's Redemption Song.

Cheshire Kat is interested in connecting with fiddle players, didgeridoo players, drummers and any other musicians.
