Jacqueline
is a singer-songwriter-guitarist, a serious Jazz repertoire vocalist,
a caberet performer, a singer of classical art-song, a composer, a musical
director, a teacher - always entertaining, and always passionate.
Jacqueline
got paid for her first gigs when she was 14, moving to play on the play
the local pub curciut in Newcastle NSW. Jacqueline
worked with notable performance ensemble The Castanet Club
for 4 years. After leaving she appeared in 3 sell-out shows at The
Hip Hop in Sydney, including Letter Bomb called Love.
Her own Jazz ensemble followed, featuring some of Australias best musicians
including Jackie Orzasky, Carl Orr, & Hamish Stewart. Jacqueline
has played most major Arts Festivals in Australia.
In
the late 90s Jacqueline worked with the Newcastle Aboriginal Theatre
Company on their production of Bran Nu Dae as actor/musical Director
and with Newcastle's Ngorie Kah Indigenous Womans performance group
as Composer. Jacqueline
still occassionally works with the remarkable Sandman, her
former Castanet band mate, on various shows. In Dec 2003
performed at The Sydney Opera House in a show called Bingo
with the bizarre Sandman and Flacco two of Australias
most reknowned performers.
In
2003 Jacqueline was invited to try her luck with a different audience
and play at Commusication in Berlin Germany to great audience
acclaim. She has been invited back, and will play a small tour of Germany
mid-2004, and looks forward to an ongoing challenge of taking her original
music to the world. Jacqueline
