Ally Bryan
Painter, Designer & Digital Artist (Queenscliff, NSW)

Ally studied Graphic Design and Mixed Media in the UK and completed a BA Honours Degree in Computer Graphic Design in 1983. She went on to work in Television at the BBC where she specialised in the moving image, creating a range of animations across a variety of programmes.

Her work in the Film and Television arena has featured on stations worldwide such as CNN International and the BBC include programmes like Panorama and Newsnight where her role was Designer / Art director. She has also been involved in a number of teaching roles, training new designers and effects operators in the field of editing and compositing on high definition computer equipment; working on compositing special effects for a variety of motion films. This has taken her around the world and allowed her to glimpse the working environments and influences of other countries.

After 20 yrs in Digital Media, Ally has decided to focus her energies on helping children to play, learn and think using her creative background. She has designed colourful and dynamic images on products to allow you to create wonderful spaces where your children play and bring their dreams to life!

With her creativity and boundless energy, she enjoys stimulating children's minds with her colourful creations. All illustrations are originally hand painted, then imported into the computer and manipulated before being output onto a variety of mediums from canvas to film and wood.

The philosophy of the company is to "fill the place with themed artworks and accessories that bring out the imagination in you and your little ones" The paintings and products use colour and image to stimulate or relax the mind. The images create stunning surroundings where children have good wholesome fun whilst inspiring and developing their imagination, communication and social skills.

Coloured Space offers a range of themes across a variety of products with an individual touch from original paintings on canvas and puzzles, to decorative stickers for walls and furniture. There are also unique clocks, funky lamps, children's beds and accessories designed by commission to bring out the creativity and individual spirit with in everyone. The works have featured in Homes, Childcare Centres and Corporate Kindergartens bringing vibrancy, colour and warmth to a multitude of environments.
