Bunty
Raynor has studied painting for many years both overseas and in Australia.
In Canada, where she lived for nine years, she studied water colours
and oils under such well known Canadian artists as 'Elizanne', Morton
Baslaw and Bill Zuro.
On
returning to Australia in 1984 she decided she wanted to know more about
other aspects of art such as sculpture, printmaking, design etc., and
so enrolled as a full-time art student at Seaforth College of Art and
Design. She majored in oil painting and completed her post graduate
year with Sydney artist/teacher Idris Murphy and Marjatta Kaukoma. She
graduated with credit, winning the Chroma Acrylics Prize for Painting.
She
has participated in exhibitions in Canada, USA, Africa (Malawi) and
Australia. She has won prizes for both oil paintings and watercolours,
and her paintings hang in private collections in Canada, England, USA,
Africa and Australia.
