Diana Whiley
Painter / Digital Artist (Adelaide, SA)
Mainly a pen and ink artist, but conversant with watercolor and oils Diana has recently turned to digital art, one which she finds both exciting and challenging as she explores new ways to interpret her art.
Born and living in Adelaide, Diana takes inspiration from childhood times spent on her aunt’s farm at Ponde near Mannum. The red-orange sand dotted with white limestone and the twisting green-brown River Murray, are both imbedded in her psyche.
Over a number of years she has been both editor and contributor to a number of local community art projects as well as book design.
She has recently started up ‘Eltiera Designs’; a range of greeting cards, postcards and posters around themes such as her Wine Series and Fantasy.
Also a Fantasy Novelist, she has produced work to accompany her book and other pieces suitable for book covers in that genre and others.
‘Digital art has given me the freedom to experiment with colour in different ways as I work on still life, landscape and reach into the realms of fantasy.’
