Jarrod Allen
Visual Artist (Northern Beaches, Sydney, NSW)

Jarrod completed an Associate Diploma in Fine Arts at Northern Beaches TAFE in 1998, and obtained a Degree in Bachelor of Visual Arts in 1999. He has coordinated community arts festivals in Queensland, curated art exhibitions in Cairns, and is also a performer, singing lead vocals in several bands over the years.

Jarrod has been a keen painter & sculptor for the past ten years. His original style derives from the automatic and uncouscious realism of art making. His work relies a lot on experiementation, exploring different mediums and surface techniques.

The inspiration for Jarrod's work comes from themes relating to ancient civilizations, native art and abstract expressionism right through to the modern primitive, urban graffiti, hip-hop culture and today's music and fashion.
