Karen Quant
Painter (Mona Vale)

Although Karen was born in England she lived the first half of her life in South Africa, where after majoring in art and studying colour and design, she moved to Australia and for the last 12 years has been living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

After retiring from 20 years in the corporate industry her life transformed as it does along life's journey as she studied Psychology, Colour therapy and Meditation and is now living out her lifelong dream of being an artist.

Always a very spiritual person her work is expressed in her love of colour and brushstrokes and she expresses it through earthy landscapes to pure abstract colour themes. Her work embodies the spirit of nature and as with nature, her life is a continual journey of evolvement, so Karens style and palette changes from Contemporary Realism, Expressionism to Abstraction.

Her works have found homes throughout Australia and recently abroad. Karen is available for private commissions, gallery enquiries welcome.

"Before i begin work on a canvas, I begin a whole meditative process so that my soul flies free, so I can be my true SELF. I feel blessed to experience my soul through ART in its various forms and hope that people can feel its resonance"
