Painter & Digital Media (QLD)
Out in the countryside away from the cities and towns the night sky comes alive, those twinkling lights have very definite colour and size. Many of these stars have planets of varying types. Depictions of stars and planets need a fair amount of artistic license and views within our own solar system however can be drawn from various photographic references as a departure point.
Although I have an interest in astronomical art, landscapes of a more terrestrial nature are also of interest.
This artist works primarily in brush applied acrylic on canvas and the new digital media, programs such as Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop have been welcome additions. With these media, multiple variations of an image can be generated, leading to some interesting results.
