Texture, surface pattern and colour. Paintings that burst with energy and life, to draw you in and out. I use strong colours and apply layers and layers of paint. My paintbrushes lie alongside expired credit cards and library cards, sponges, forks, set squares and rollers.

I want people to have the urge to touch my work and explore the details and texture. A curve leading to a rough edge, a mark from the top of a bottle appearing leaf like and organic, a person emerging from the shadows, a city viewed from the clouds.

My biggest joy comes from people's interpretations of my work. Seeing their imaginations soar and their inquisitiveness grow. That is the best part of the whole process.
