Scott Breeman
Painter (New Beith QLD)
Scott was born in the early 1960’s, and he grew up on a small farm where he learnt to appreciate and admire the natural beauty of God’s creation. Scott is a Christian and proudly professes this choice.
Scott started using his art talent in 1982 when he painted his first painting under his Christian name, Schalk Breeschoten. Scott’s interest in the fine arts grew, and from 1982 until 1992 he attended various classes and training sessions, and actively researched and experimented with a wide variety of media, colours and techniques.
Scott established his own School of Art in 1993, and taught art to more than 530 students over an 8-year period. By the end of 2012 Scott has painted more than 2000 paintings. Scott’s smallest painting measured 6cm x 8cm, and his largest painting 1500cm x 2440cm (5’ x 8’). Scott paints under two signatures, them being Scott Breeman and Dutchie.
Scott’s works of art grace homes in Australia, New Zeeland, South Africa, Namibia, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Zimbabwe, Poland, USA, and Russia to mention only but a few countries.
Scott currently resides in New Beith, Queensland, Australia where he practices art and teaches art to people with an interest in this field.
Scott’s work, which is modern and / or impressionistic in style, is characterised by a sense of restfulness, peace and simplicity with which he identifies himself. His love and knowledge of nature and the simplicity of life is captured in his work and his art portrays the inner tranquillity of the artist himself. His work is characterised by the modern and / or impressionistic expression of a wide spectrum of themes, mainly in oil, acrylic and mixed media, and no less that 4 distinguishable styles. Something that makes Scott unique and his work valuable and well sought after.
