The word Bunt (rhymes with punt) means multi-coloured in German and is a word that describes the sight and sound of this 4 piece band from Sydney perfectly. With a music style that incorporates blues, swamp and punk, Bunt have recorded several EPs and play regularly at the Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills and Harbord Diggers Club.

Drummer Lyndon Reed provides the voodoo rhythm, which complements the bass rumble of Mike 'Fernsy' Fearnley, (who also plays with Teenage Hookers for Christ), providing the canvas for guitarist Ryuichito Seita's sonic onslaught while vocalist and guitarist Jon Ruttan provides an intense perfomance with a theatrical sence of dynamics.

A live performance by Bunt never ends before front man Jon, having collapsed from exhaustion brought about by the emotional intensity of his performance, crawls across the stage to avoid the falling drumkit, mic stands and plastic beer glasses thrown by an over stimulated audience, as Ryu lies flat on his back, the feedback from his guitar wailing through the amplifiers, Lyndon escaping out the back door and Fernsy heading for the bar. A live show by this bunch is unmissable!
