The Fifth House

The Fifth House was formed in 2002 by a group of experienced singers who have been working in Sydney and around Australia for 15 years. Two members, Gary Smith and Anna Salleh worked together in an earlier incarnation called Ninety Nine and a Half which toured South East Asia and made appearances at various significant events including The Edinburgh Jazz Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Fifth House recently released their first CD called 'Presents from the Fifth House'. It features songs in a unique style developed by the group that they call A'CAPPELLISMO. It's not a'cappella in the true sense of the word as they use a variety of percussion instruments, but it still has all the richness of 5 part vocal harmony.

The styles of arrangements include world music, latin, jazz, pop and gospel. The Fifth House has performed as guests for community concerts in Baulkham Hills and Waterloo and various other private engagements.

They are only now offering our performances to the wider public and are interested in connecting with other a'cappela groups, folk groups and musicians who feature acoustic performances at cabaret and festival venues.
