Mothers
of Intention
Sydney Mothers
of Intention are a five piece group, playing Celtic music with passion and soul.
Their love of the folk tradition infuses their music, lifting their spirits and
those of their audience. The "moi" are experienced performers playing
St Alban's, Umina Beach, and Majors creek Festivals, and various folk clubs. Their
music explores the Celtic tradition - from fast jigs and reels to the hauntingly
beautiful ballads that speak to the soul. The singers use three part harmony to
draw the listener in and wrap them in their stories. This is music to dance to
or just enjoy. The group compose original material and also perform an eclectic
blend of folk inspired covers.

(recorders), Glenda Patterson (bodhran, dumbek), Penny Rankin-Smith (vocals, percussion)
