Trinity Sydney, NSW Trinity
is a new acoustic pop & blues trio formed from the blues and rock band Code
Blue, featuring vocalist Dominique Maurice, lead guitarist Bobby Luttrell and
Chris Murphy on rhythm guitar, harmonica and percussion. While the trio have played
together in hotels and clubs as Code Blue, and independently in a myriad of other
bands, and solo, Trinity was formed in 2004, and has now performed at a number
of venues, including The Point Hotel, Pyrmont and the Supper Room, Turramurra. Vocalist
Dominique Maurice has performed for most of her 40 years in both Sydney and Canberra,
is currently featured in 3 bands and in her own solo acoustic work. She is a very
accomplished rhythm guitarist (playing an electric-acoustic Maton ECW80, and an
electric-Spanish Ibanez), which allows Chris Murphy to play percussion and harmonica.
Dominique completed her first solo CD - God's Glory' - in June 2004. Lead
guitarist Bobby Luttrell has played in the UK, France and Australia for the last
26 years and is nicknamed 'The Earl of Stratocaster' (he plays a Fender Eric Clapton
Special Stratocaster, along with a Gibson BB King Lucille, and an all-steel Dobro).
Bobby is so proficient a guitarist that listeners have often wondered whether
Eric Clapton or BB King have been sitting in with the band! Chris
Murphy completes the trio on Takemine EAN15 electric-acoustic rhythm guitar, and
a jazz acoustic guitar - The Aristone - hand made in 1948 by George Abbott in
London, plus Hohner Meisterklass and Blues Harp harmonicas, along with assorted
percussion. Chris has played and sung in rock and blues bands for 42 years in
the UK and Australia.
