Little Black Pearl Art and Design Center in Chicago will host an exhibition entitled "T.A.W.G.A. Recycled Art, Throw Away Don't Go Away" with featured artist Cydney Lewis 2009 green artist award winner. Artists are invited to submit works for consideration.
Exhibition Date: April 2, 2009 - April 24, 2009
Recycled Art is art that has been created from found, salvaged, scavenged, and repurposed materials. The art can take the form of 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, fashion design and accessories, interactive, mechanical, electronic, and multimedia works. In our consumer "one time use" world, our junk takes on a life of its own while it sits in our back yards, alleys awaiting its next reincarnation. Of this reincarnation some call it recycling, we call it art.
To be considered, artists must submit the following items:
CD-ROM: containing up to 5 images in JPEG format, size: 5” x 7” 150 dpi. Please label CDs with your name, phone number, and email address.
EMAIL: 5 images list with your name, phone number, email address, title of artwork, medium, dimensions, and date of each artwork.
Resume: and a brief statement not exceeding one paragraph which describes your artwork.
Please don't send original material as it will not be returned.
Submissions must be postmarked by March 13, 2009 and sent to:
