THE 'CAMBERWELL' IS MOVING TO CAULFIELD Organised by the Rotary Club of Camberwell, the 2010 Herald Sun Camberwell Rotary Art Show is probably Australia's best known exhibition, competition and sale of art, And this year the Art Show moving to a brand new address- The Caulfield Racecourse.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday 28-30 May

This year, there's a prize pool of over $55,000 including the Herald Sun $20,000 'Best of Show' cash award to the winning artist. According to the Rotary Club of Camberwell, around 2,500 paintings will be hung over 2,000 sq metres at the larger Caulfield Racecourse exhibition venue. This compares to 1,680 paintings hung at last year's Art Show.
Professional and hobby artists are invited to submit entries by the Friday 23 April entry deadline. This year, artists can elect to enter on-line at a discounted entry fee. Entry Forms will also be accepted and these can be downloaded from the Art Show website or by contacting the Rotary Club of Camberwell.
An exclusive Art Show Preview and Awards night will be held at the Caulfield Racecourse on Thursday 27 May, 6.30-9.30pm. Here's an opportunity to view all artworks in a relaxing atmosphere including refreshments and be the first to purchase prior to Art Show public days. Camberwell Rotary Art Show Patron and philanthropist Harold Mitchell AO will open the 2010 Art Show.
The Camberwell Rotary Art Show has a remarkable 44 year history with members and friends of the Club as well as an army of volunteers helping out every step of the way. In excess of $2.1 million has been raised for local, national and international humanitarian and charitable projects since the beginning of the Art Show way back in 1966.
