The Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival that takes place on multiple islands of the Seto Inland Sea. It was first held in 2010 and it attracted a huge response from hundreds of thousands of visitors. We are planning to hold the festival again in 2013.
We are seeking site-specific art proposals in four categories:
1.Works using the piers
2.Works that take the island’s nature and history as their theme
3.Alley Project: Works created mainly in the alleys of the Ogijima island and the alley to the “Damon’s cave” of the Megijima island
4.Other: Open proposals
Applicant Qualification:
Any person that understand the aim of Setouchi Triennale.
Exhibition Locations:
Takamatsu Port Area, Naoshima, Teshima, Megijima,Ogijima, Shodoshima, Oshima, Inujima, Uno Port Area, Islands of Central and Western Kagawa(Shamijima, Honjima, Takamijima, Awashima, Ibukijima)
Application Period:
Thursday, May 17, 2012 through Thursday, 31 May, 2012.
Number of Selected Proposals:
10 to 30 (the number of selection is subject to circumstances)
