With over $8000 worth of prizes, and sections for varying skill levels, the Channel Country Photography Competition promises to attract a strong field of entries from all over the country.
The competition seeks to have photographers capture the essence of the unique and wonderful scenery in the region interpreted through the lens of a camera!
Photographers are asked to submit photos that were taken within the Queensland catchment areas of the Diamantina, Georgina, Barcoo and Thomson Rivers and the Cooper Creek within the last twelve (12) months (map available).

All prize winners will also receive a tour package from Qantas Founders Museum & Kinnon & Co and a 12 month subscription to Vast Arts Inc as well as a selection of works being hung in the Kinnon & Co Historic Ol’ World Gallery in Longreach.
