Call for Artists: Hardware Gallery 40% Wool / 60% Acrylic Exhibition

Opportunity for artists - Hardware Gallery is teaming up with The Wall and World Bar to present an artistic celebration of winter. Opening on Wednesday 11 August will be 40% Wool / 60% Acrylic –a group exhibition at World Bar in Kings Cross, Sydney. We are seeking artists to submit works that respond to this theme. We've kept it broad, to help you stay creative. With Hardware teaming up with The Wall and World Bar, you will get two opportunities...to exhibit at The Wall's weekly night at World Bar...and be part of one of Hardware Gallery's fully curated exhibitions.

Curators at Hardware Gallery will select a number of artists working across a variety of media to join in the exhibition.

The Important bits:

There is NO fee to artists selected as part of the show. There is NO commission being charged by Hardware Gallery. As with other events by The Wall, Artists will get 80% of sales and 20% will be donated to Heaps Decent. Group exhibitions such as this are where Hardware Gallery curators look out for new talent and artists for possible future inclusion in smaller group shows, invitation only shows and solo projects.

Entry is a no brainer really...its free, you keep 80% of sales, you get to be in a fully curated Hardware Gallery exhibition, and you might just get noticed as we begin to plan our calendar for 2011 at Hardware Gallery.

Date of Exhibition: Opening Wednesday 11 August, 8pm.
Location: World Bar, 24 Bayswater Rd, Kings Cross NSW
Exhibition period: 1 Week
Number/size of works required: No restriction, but space will be limited

Deadline for completed works: Monday 9th August – Works to be delivered directly to World Bar.

Proposals Due: Friday 30 July.
