Call for Artists: The Seed Fund
Art for the Public encourages artists to recreate the Australian urban landscape.
Through this category The Seed Fund sought to fund visual artists, with grants available of up to $5000 each, to undertake projects delivering visual art to outdoor, or prominent indoor public spaces.
The intention is for these art pieces to become a form of social commentary, communication and inspiration, between the artist and the general public, art that is free and incidental to the public.
Projects could include artistic responses to social justice issues, art that displays significance to the community, murals, exhibitions, graffiti, stencil work, photography, multimedia, print, paint or whatever the imagination can conjure…
After sorting through the applications for 2010, The Seed are happy to announce the recipients of the 2010 funding.
TOTAL FUNDING $73,406.35
Thank you to everyone who applied this year and to those who help fund this initiative.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2011 round early next year.
