Established in 1938, The Fellowship of Australian Writers WA (FAWWA) is Western Australia's longest established writers' organisation. Poets across Australia are invited to enter the 2008 competition, with cash prizes up to $1000.
The FAWWA Tom Collins Poetry Prize is an annual competition inaugurated in 1975 and which continues to be sponsored by J. Furphy & Sons (Engineers) in memory of Australian author Joseph Furphy (1843 - 1912).
Presented by the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA, the annual Tom Collins Poetry Prize offers a first prize of $1000, a second prize of $400 and four highly commended prizes of $150.
Entries should be a maximum of 60 lines per poem. Entry fee is $5 per poem, with a maximum of three poems per author.
