Beaches, NSW)
88ounces, formed in 2002 by Fashion Designer
Clint Webster and Graphic Designer Mad Stevens, is an urban / street
wear clothing label designed for people who place a high priority on
creative and interesting concepts.
Each range is a limited edition with an emphasis on creativity, originality,
experimentation and confronting social mindsets. 88ounces was born
out of the artwork.
With clothing stocked in stores in both NSW and
VIC, notably Jason Chetcuti’s boutique “Chetcuti” in
Surry Hills, 88ounces is slowly starting to become recognised locally
through print media,
and overseas.
Perhaps the biggest achievement to date has been creating a leather
outfit that reached the finals out of 150 entrants at the Cutting In
Youth Fashion Design Awards in 2004 at Pitt Street Mall, Sydney.
This year, 88ounces has decided to branch into high fashion for women,
with leather being the main focus of the latest range. A second label,
ClintonCharlie, has been established to accommodate the change in direction
for 88ounces and now both labels will operate side-by-side to produce
quality clothing that people will want to be seen in.
