Australian Award Winning Designer Georgia Morgan draws her inspiration from the magic and majesty of Australia’s remote northwest coast, where the desert caresses the sea. As only a gifted artisan can, Georgia’s unique jewellery, home wares and sculptures range captures the beautiful essence of Australia in lovingly handcrafted quality.
One of Australia’s most innovative jewellery designers, Georgia was born into a second generation pearling family imbuing her with a rare knowledge, love and passion for pearls. Always eager to explore new techniques and mediums in which traditional pearl shell and pearls can be integrated, Georgia continues to design and create unique and stunning Australian jewellery, home wares and sculptures.
Now living in Byron Bay, NSW, Georgia is beginning to further expand her creativity into steel sculpture and lighting, digital art, painting and photography. Her current project is a series of medium to large scale sculptures combining glass, pearl shell and steel, the harsh masculine qualities of the welded steel and glass are offset by the soft feminine qualities of the pearl shell creating an dramatic fusion of light and textures in organic abstacted forms.
