Jane Beckman
Painter (Sunshine Coast QLD)

Jane Beckman was born in Manly, Sydney Australia and was bought up overlooking the ocean at Freshwater Beach. She now lives on her yacht on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Jane has a few different styles of painting and is always experimenting with new techniques and textures. At present Jane is passionate about contemporary art and is loving the freedom of expression that modern art gives.
 
Jane's previous style of painting is her impressionist scenes of Noosa, the beaches, surf art, tropical landscapes and flowers which she painted under the name Jane Swain are still very popular. She enjoys painting in her original style upon request and is happy to paint commissions from photos of peoples favourite surf and beach scenes around the world.
 
Both styles are a part of Jane's expression, her love of the Ocean nature and life can be seen clearly and enjoyed thoroughly through her artwork. Jane is also currently working on black and white abstract drawings, watercolour paintings of yachts, the ocean, waves, islands etc.
 
Jane's paintings vary in colours - some are bright and bold which express her positive point of view, and her vivacious personality comes shining through in all her painting. She hopes the happiness she feels inside will be felt by anyone who looks at her art. Some of the paintings are also done in very earthy tones which look great in todays
contemporary homes.
 
Jane also writes songs and poetry, film scripts and produces short films. She believes creative expression is endless and a joy to be shared.
