Jon Pike
Illustrator & Painter (Warriewood, NSW)
Jon Pike is a Sydney based artist who draws inspiration from many areas of life and the mind. His work explores themes from fantasy, fantastic realism and surrealism. A self taught painter, Jon began drawing from a very early age. Over the years many different artists have influenced and inspired Jons works, including Norman Lindsay, Ernst Fuchs, Solomon J Solomon, Durer, Rubens and Boris and Julie Vallejo to name a few.
Jon works mainly in pencils and watercolours. He has works in private collections in Australia and around the world, and is available for exhibitions, portrait commissions and private tuition. He also illustrates childrens books, and is currently collaborating with a Polish author on a new publication.

Artists Statement:
My aim with my artwork is to explore the inner and outer realms of our world, the macrocosm and microcosm to open thought and feeling and bring happiness and inspiration to the people who see my works. To look and find something deeper and also to simply observe that which is beautiful.
