Louise Whelan
Art Photographer (Avalon, NSW)

Louise is a freelance photographer based in Sydney Australia. Her work has appeared in magazines across Australia, previous work experience includes The National Library of Australia and the State Library of New South Wales.

Her versatile approach captures many subjects, resulting in a creative portfolio that spans aerial photography, fine art, burlesque and social documentary.

Louise has held many successful exhibitions, and her work has been published in SMH, The Good Weekend, Sydney Life Magazine and Image Capture Photographic magazines. She has been commissioned for work both private and commercial, and in 2004 won a Silver Award for portraiture in the AIPP Awards.

Most recently, Louise was selected for the ABN AMRO emerging art prize exhibition and the 2007 CROSS PROJECTIONS, an exhibition of the Sydney Art and About event.
