Michelle Renia
Painter (VIC)

Although Michelle has had no formal training in the arts she still manages to pursue her passions in the creative world; she had her very first exhibition "With More Expressions of Colors" with the "Painting with Parkinson’s Group" in April 2010 at the Old Cheese Factory in Berwick. Her style is Abstract Expressionism. Michelle also loves Art in Piano Improvisation.

Michelle Renia is an emerging contemporary artist who is inspired by colors of red and blue and she likes to experiment by creating textured surfaces. She began painting in 2009 because she had a great desire to express her emotions – and most of her pieces were painted when angry and in turmoil. Painting is a constant learning process of discovery, rebirth and renewal and whilst Michelle is still exploring her unique style she has developed a loose use of media with squirts, sprays and flicks and uses her fingers to create a sense of movement and continuity within her compositions.
  
She had her very first exhibition "With More Expressions of Colors" with the "Painting with Parkinson’s Group" in April 2010. She is driven purely by emotions and instinct and she expresses her feelings through the use of vivid colors. Michelle’s ‘The Experimental Series’ has a very organic feel to the compositions – she uses metallic paint which creates a vivid glow with a unique mixture of colors and paint. ‘The Expression Series’ captured her moods and feelings perfectly. When she looks back at her work, she can relate back to those exact events in her life that occurred during those specific moments of creation. Her favorite pieces are ‘Texture Inside I’ which was used on her Music CD entitled ‘Expressions’, ‘Escape From Pain’ which was the very first piece she painted for her ‘obsession began’ series; and ‘Water & Sand’ which brought her great joy upon completion.
