Scott Christensen
Painter (Redland Bay, QLD)
Scott Christensen began painting with oils on stretched canvas in 1997 at the age of 26. 4 years later Scott resigned from his position leading a horizontal drilling gang to study Visual Art full time. Scott’s wife had just given birth to their first children – twins. As Scott recalls, “Failure was not an option.”
Since then he has sold over 230 originals and over 2000 Limited Edition Canvases.
Scott united his ability to create, with his love of the Australian coastline, and has never looked back. He represents these ever-changing environments with vibrant colour, sharp composition, and attention to every detail. His work has been described as “stylish, photo-realism”, “Unique, and very Australian.”
Scott Christensen paints full time from his studio in Cleveland, in the Redland Shire of Queensland. His work is held in private and public collections within Australia and private collections from USA to UK.
Strong sales Australia wide are confirmation that Scott’s images connect with many, a trend which is continuing on the world stage. His work is continuing to mature and develop, assuring investors of its collect-ability.

Artists Statement:
“I’m inspired by the movement of the ocean, the infinite colours and mood of the ocean and the constantly changing features of our local coastline. I try to capture colour and motion, and the transparent and reflective nature of the salt water and try to emphasise key colours to make the work appealing to the eye.”
