Sophia Sourlas has been a respected artist for over 30 years; her work encompasses a wide range of different styles and media which includes: Painting (Portraiture & landscapes), Abstract Collage (Pre & Post computer imaging Photography), Black & White and colour film and Digital photography Design, and digitally manipulated drawings and paintings.

“My work reflects a surreal approach where the imagination is free to explore and create unusual images. The intuitive response to life experiences and in particular, a passion for travel is predominately the inspiration behind my work.

A focus on colour sparks my creative juices and fuels an often-unpredictable artistic response. Rich hues, textural and linear qualities all help to create effective and at times, powerful moods and expressive images.

An optimistic undercurrent dominates most themes, reflecting my faith and hope in the justice of life and the inherent goodness of humanity. Often referred to as Utopian in concept, my work aims to uplift the human condition from the bleakness and negativity of a world, at times, overrun by such.”
