Collusion

Collusion is a hybrid - arts music ensemble comprising
of young, vibrant and imaginative artists. Violin, Piano, Clarinet,
Cello
and
Soprano form the core instrumentation, whilst varying combinations
of these instruments in a concert create a diverse and varied atmosphere.
Collusion also regularly collaborates with guest artists from other
artistic mediums including visual arts, photography, spoken word, dance,
film, circus arts and theatre. Some of the talented artists who have
worked with Collusion are Painter Billy Shannon, Choreographer Gareth
Belling, Photographer Lisa Clarke and Clown artists Clint Bolster and
Ben Cornfoot.
Collusion has performed at the Bangalow Festival, worked in collaboration
with the Queensland Ballet as a part of their Viv-a-vis series, and
launched their inaugural subscription season in and around Brisbane
for 2006. Paul Stanhope, Gerard Brophy, Stephen Baker, Tom Adeney and
Robert D Clark are just some of the Australian composers that Collusion
has worked with. As well as supporting Australian talent, Collusion
performs a wide range of repertoire from overseas composers.
Collusion and collaborators have captivated audiences
with memorable, exciting, and innovative productions, including the
inauguration of
the Collusion Queensland Conservatorium Composition Prize, an initiative
