Parnassus'
Den is Sydney's leading forum for the development of new Australian
writing for theatre, film, TV and radio. It was established in 1994.
Monday nights at the Old Fitzroy Theatre a group of talented actors
read new scripts hot off the pens of a range of well-known and starting-out
writers.
After the readings, the audience is invited to give their thoughts and
comments on the scripts, what works and what doesn't, giving the writer
invaluable feedback for further refining of the script. You, the audience,
help develop new theatre, TV and film.
Parnassus' Den has its own ensemble of 50 actors across all age ranges.
All scripts are rehearsed in advance, giving the best readings and performances
of the writers' work.
There is also a directory of directors, enabling writers to have the
experience and expertise of people working in the industry to help them
produce the best possible readings on the night!
Send your scripts along with $20 submission fee and SSAE to Literary
Manager, Drayton Morley, at PO Box 655, Maroubra 2035 to be considered
for a reading.
