Theatre Nepean

Theatre Nepean is a young, exciting acting institution nurturing today's talented artists and is, without a doubt, a vital contribution to the arts industry.

Theatre Nepean is one of the most well respected acting institutions in Australia and continues to produce graduates of a highly professional standard who gain fantastic exposure within the industry. These graduates include names such as David Wenham, Joel Edgerton, Leon Ford, and Alexandra Davies, just to name a few.

Despite continuous government funding cuts to the University, Theatre Nepean students unfailingly endeavour to be politically active, fighting for the future of the course and increasing support for the arts industry. Students raise up to $30 000 in their second year of training to take their graduation season to professional Sydney City venues. This experience and further exposure assists in not only preparing the students for entering into the industry but also in maintaining the great reputation which distinguishes Theatre Nepean actors both nationally and internationally.

Theatre Nepean students are passionate and articulate individuals eager to enlighten people about the struggles they have faced as the University of Western Sydney continues to suffer debilitating funding cuts.
